We are a military family, and my son transferred here from public schools on the mainland. It is disturbing to me how my son comes home from school with complaints about not only students, but bus drivers, and teachers treating him differently because we are military. Even the faculty admitted that there is military prejudice at the school! As far as the curriculum goes, my 6th grade son is doing the exact same homework as my 11th grade son. Not sure if that means that the Elementary school is that far ahead, or the High School is that far behind :(
I am a graudate of Pearl City High School, and I believe that it's one of the best public schools! Great counselrs, teachers, and students.
