The Great Schools library has some incredible reads for parents of college bound students (and even high school students planning for college).  Here are a few of the best:

10 Ways to Jump-Start College Planning http://www.greatschools.net/cgi-bin/showarticle/684

Rejected?  Accepted?  Handling College Decisions http://www.greatschools.net/cgi-bin/showarticle/1188

All About Advanced Placement (AP) Courses and Exams http://www.greatschools.net/cgi-bin/showarticle/951

Understanding College Admissions Tests http://www.greatschools.net/cgi-bin/showarticle/243/

Choosing Smart Electives http://www.greatschools.net/cgi-bin/showarticle/882

I'll come back and add more articles as time goes on, as well as linking some great posts from our advice and Q&A areas.

Here's another site that offers good college information, and a short survey that helps to assess college readiness and gives suggestions for improving one's success: http://www.eduguide.org/Parents/TakeQuiz/tabid/114/view/StepTakeQuiz/quizId/14/Default.aspx

You might want to check out Embark.com. I noticed that they just added a check list for students going to college with links to many of the things that you provide links for in the past.

Mary Beth Marklein's blog on USA Today covers a lot of ground for the college set.

The URL is way too long, so here's a short cut: http://tinyurl.com/czhfyb

This week, she talks about diversity, including schools trying to appear more diverse than they might actually be in their recruitment pictures. And one near and dear to my heart--should college students be exempt from jury duty.
