I am a student and i don't beleive teachers should add studens on a personal facebook. But, if a teacher decides to make a facebook for the purpose of helping students with homewrk and only speaking about school-related things, then it's OK.

I don't believe teachers should be friends with students in their school, whether they are in their class or not. After high school students graduate, it is a different story but not while the student is in school.

Yes, but only if they are no longer in that teacher's class/ grade. Students and teachers develop a bond... kind of like an aunt/ uncle neice/ nephew bond. But if your childis friends with a teacher on FB you should remind them to not annoy them.

As a parent I wouldn't be comfortable with my child and teacher being friends on FB.

School teachers--no. Private lives should be kept private.

And speaking as a coach that friends whole families, there's things I see that change how I feel about certain kids and obligate me to talk to their parents.
