No. And I my son's teachers don't. He tries and they have emailed me to let me know the situation. Teachers have their own lives outside of teaching and it doesn't need to be shared with their students.

Teaching is a called profession and it is a profession. There is a contract between Teacher/Student and shouldn't be plastered on the internet

I am friends with my children's teachers on FB. If they need to discuss anything pertaining to my children with anyone it should be me. I may be viewed as an over protective parent but I put my children's safety first. I won't apologize for that!

NO!!!! The teacher student relationship should stay in the classroom and should be STRICTLY professional. I would be absolutely furious if a teacher friended my child on FB or any other site that is not school related!
