theater progams

We curretly live in Australia and my son has been is attending a GATE arts school for theater. Would he be able to attend a school like this in the Chicago area? Jo

Hi joannemurrie,
I've heard of gifted schools and I've heard of arts programs. I've never heard of an arts program strictly for GATE kids, but anything is possible.
My suggestion would be to post this question in the Chicago community here: http://www.greatschools.org/illinois/chicago/community.gs?content=1983 and see what the folks in Chicago know.
Also if you know where you'll be moving, contact those school districts and ask the district directly. Especially since you'll want his GATE designation to be recognized, you'll need to know if he must be retested or if that district will transfer it right over.
