Moving to Michigan

I am moving to Southfield MI this summer and I would love my son to attend an IB school. I was able to locate one in Southfield (SHigh) but the great school rating is very low. I found other IB schools in Bloomfield but they are zone restricted. I am having a hard time finding an Appartment in these areas for the next few months. Can anyone give me some good advise? I like some other schools in Southfield, but my 14 year old is bent on graduating from an IB.

Contact a real estate professional in the area. Let them know the boundaries you want to stay within and I bet they can help. Or call the schools directly and ask where the complexes are that have a larger group of kids in them.

Good luck.

Moving to Southfield is a mistake. High crime rate & bad schools. You are much better moving to Southfield's neighbor to the West, Farmington Hills / Farmington. Look at Farmington H.S., very good school and there are plenty of affordable apartments located within its boundaries. Also, another school in the same district, Farmington Harrison, is an IB school. Ironically, Farmington Harrison is located within a mile and a half of Southfield's border.
