Moving to Houston from VA, is Memorial HS a good one?

concerned with culture there. My daughter is not someone who cares about trendy clothes/makeup that much. She is more of academic centered. Wonder if this school fits here. Also, is the academic curriculum challenging enough? VA has rigorous academic activities and I'd expect the same in Houston schools.
