My son was overwhelmed with the academic rigor and social challenges at the public junior high school and was showing signs of depression. He has attended Sheridan Academy for two and a half years and has really grown academically and socially. Sheridan has a wonderful, small, nurturing environment. My son's self-esteem has flourished since attending. Having him at Sheridan is a really good thing for all of us.

My daughter has attended Sheridan Academy beginning in 7th grade, and is now in the 10th grade. She was successful in the public school system up to 6th grade. Entering Junior High is challenging for many students, but this was the transition that seemed to be the beginning of her difficulties. Needing extra attention on organization and keeping up with the pace was her biggest hurdle in addition to social distractions. It was at this time when I decided she needed extra attention and assistance with focusing on school work. After attempting tutoring, I realized that she needed more and that is when she started with Sheridan. Since then, she has become a much better student, realizing that her success depends on how hard she works toward that. She has become more aware of the importance of education and has a higher level of confidence toward her own acheivements.

My son has attended Sheridan Academy for the last two years. Within the first few weeks at Sheridan, his outlook on school, his grades and his self confidence significantly improved. He was failing in the public school due to some reading challenges. With the individualized curriculum and personal attention, he is able to do well in subjects that were tough and speed ahead in topics, like Math, where he excels.
