I attended Gem State Academy and in my opinion the best things about the school were the sports program and 2 teachers. Everything else seemed neglected. Everyone is required to work to make 1,100 amount tuition even do able. It is fairly small, and I have made a lot of friends their. But the college prep seems to be lacking and not nearly as good as other public schools, such as charter schools. God is at the school, but not as strongly as you would expect.

My child is a current student at GSAA and she just adores everthything about her highschool. She feels although some of the rules and expectations are tough to agree to and obey, they have made her realize life isn't a picnic. If you want a safer environment and more spiritual growth why not take the jewelry off for a few hours of the day. Gem State Academy has had a lasting impact on My girl and she has learned to grow up and work hard. Though the expectations are high the kids are helped every step of the way so they can strive to meet them. Gem State is no doubt the best thing i could have ever done for my daughter

My daughter has recently been put in Gem State. She has been happy and willing to go to school. I have seen a big change in her and She's happy with how kind all the people are and how fun and helpful the teachers are. She said 'Their actually explaining how to do things and helping me' I'm happy to pay for her to go here. When you have God in your life you a happy person!

We were able to get my nephew into Gem State Academy. What a great opportunity for him! He has really opened up and become outgoing and has benefited from the Job training program as well as the academics. The training in Bible and health he received has really made a difference in his view of God and his eating habits. His math teacher told him he is very gifted in math and could be an engineer or mathmatician. That has given him something to shoot for. As a kid coming from an underpriviled home and public schools that failed to teach him how to read well, Gem State has made a 180% difference for him. They have a strong college prep program that prepares kids for the real world. I would strongly recommend Gem State Academy over many other schools because the overall program is amazing.

this school is a great school for well minding children their dress code is strict such as no writing on your self, no hair bands on your wrist as well as being verry modest and they will not allow you to wear jewlry or have keychanes. Asside from that they have excelent bible teachers, the principal is rarly there and they fired 2 of the kids' favorite staff members, because they were to loose and easy going.
