My son has been a student at Hillcrest and he loves the school, as do I. Such friendly teachers and staff who really care about the students, as well as a safe and fun environment with plenty of activities for all types of kids. This has truly been the best and most enjoyable school my son has ever attended, and we're both sad to leave, but he's now graduating! Thanks to everyone at Hillcrest for the wonderful memories you've created for the class of 2012! :)
I am a student at Hillcrest and i love it. The extracurricular activities are amazing, especially the debate team. They have become my family and have taught me so much not just about debate, about life in general. If your kids are attending you should talk to them about it, because Mrs walker is one of the best teachers in the whole district in my opinion. she has become one of the most influential people in my life along with my parents. Mrs walker is one of the only reasons i like school. If she retires during the next few years i will cherish the time i have spent with her the most. I LOVE YOU Mrs. Walker
I have three boys at Hillcrest. I wouldn't send them anywhere else. The classes are challenging, the teachers are good and the school is safe.
I am very pleased so far with Hillcrest High School. One of the best things is their A/B schedule which gives students more time in class, more time to complete assignments and fewer subjects each day. I believe it allows for much more in-depth coverage of subjects. You can really tell that the staff is committed to their students with every teacher having time before each day to meet privately with students. My son is entering his Junior year in the fall has flourished after transferring in halfway through his Freshman year. My daughter, who will be a Freshman in the fall was allowed to register for a Sophomore Honors Biology class - where many schools would have told her that she couldn't, Hillcrest is allowing her to challenge herself. I guess that's the best compliment I can pay them: that they allow their students to challenge themselves and excel.
I attended Hillcrest in 95/96 as an exchange student from Germany. I really enjoyed my stay and found out that I was much better helped and assisted at Hillcrest than exchange students at other schools. That way I want to thank Hillcrest High and in paricular Mr. Wait and Mrs. Hatch for my woderfull Junior year!
I think that Hillcrest is ahead of it's times, I attended Hillcrest in 2001 and honestly didnt think much of it. Since then I have joined the army and I am currently in Iraq. Since my time in service I have had a chance to travel and see other schools including a career day with recruiters after seeing them I realized what a reat school Hillcrest was. I often catch myself day dreaming of playing football for Hillcrest and missing the dabate team with mrss. Walker. Hillcrest is an outstandin school I will never forget the teachers that left such an impresionable mark on even if they thouht they didnt.
