The overall education is good not great but good. Most of the teachers seem interested and caring about the students education and will go out of their way to help the students. The biggest problem with this school comes from the principal and vice principal, they give a great talk to concerns but don't follow through. At back to school night they gave this big spill about how the school is an anti-bullying school, but my child was severly bullied buy 3 girls the entire second year. Instead of addressing these girls the solution the vice principle came up with was to have her sit in a teachers room over her lunch to avoid the problem. When she had her ipod stolen and was able to tell them exactly who took it they refused to address that also, she was told there was nothing they could do. She tried out for a school sport and before the results was posted the coach proceeded to tell all the kids that if they didn't make the team it was probably because the had the wrong look or body type (bullying from an adult!). Not one of these problems was addressed in a proper mannor, this school is NOT anti-bullying unless you are in the right group and then they handle the problems well.

I was a visitor at this last fall. I did not know anyone at the school prior to my visit. I needed to shadow a junior high administrator in the general area to fulfill some of my graduate requirements for USU. Before my visit, I researched many junior high schools and narrowed it down to Eagle Rock. Then, I contacted the principal and requested a visit. He made all of the necessary arrangements for me to visit the school. When I arrived, I was able tour the school and ask the principal and his assistant questions about their profession. I did not know what to expect, but I must say after spending several hours there, I was so impressed with what I saw going on at the school. What a great learning environment.

Eagle Rock Junior High School is a great school! I should know because I go there! The teachers help you when you need it, most of the kida are really cool and nice, and I love the classes I can take there! My favorite are the music classes! :D The music teachers there are AMAZING!! Our Principal and Vice-principal are awesome too. They are always there to listen to you. The Vice-principal knows all of our names! Wow! Just an overall AWESOME, AMAZING, and GREAT school! 5 stars!

Eagle Rock is a wonderful school. My daughter has thrived. She is always encouraged to do her best and the principals go out of their way to make her feel like she is a valuable part of the school. As for discipline, I have always felt the principals treat all students fairly. The key word that comes to mind is respect; it is given and is expected.

The school and teachers are overall well educated and willing to help students learn. The Principal is weak in his discipline. Too many students get away with too much. There is unfair treatment of students. Some students are hammered for the behaviors while others are barely slapped on the wrist. Very unfair.

Great school but alot of clicky mormons. That will never come to an end but I'm sure others have noticed.

This is the second year my daughter has attended Eagle Rock. Initially, it was a choice between Taylor View and here, depending on where we lived. My daughter wanted TV. After 2 years, she now thanks me for moving into ER. She likes the food at the school. She is in Honor Society and loves art. Students seem to be friendlier and teachers/counselors seem to care. Students are split into typically two teams and stay with the same teachers on their team. She loves all of the teachers she's had and has never complained. It is a safe environment and math, science, english, and music are all high quality. Sports seem to be limited and I don't even know who the principal is, unfortunately. Parent involvement is not encouraged like grade schools - typical for this area. I believe this is the best Jr High in Dist. 91.

My child feels safe at Eagle Rock. The teachers and Administrators have a genuine concern for the students education and thier well being. The students are treated fairly. Learning is top priority at Eagle Rock. The teachers are easy to contact and are more than willing to visit with parents at a moments notice to discuss concerns. I believe Eagle Rock is the best Jr High in School Dist 91; I wished my other children could have attended this school.

About the tests

In 2010-2011 Idaho used the Idaho Standards Achievement Test (ISAT) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 in reading, math and language usage, and in grades 5, 7 and 10 in science. The scores from the spring administration are displayed on GreatSchools profiles. The grade 10 ISAT is a high school graduation requirement. The ISAT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering the specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Idaho. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.
