We came to Bunker from another not so good school. They have made us feel welcome and handled any concerns that have come up. They call it the Bunker family and everyone is included. It is a smaller school and is so quiet compared to where my kids were. The teachers are happy and friendly. They seem to enjoy what they are doing. They maximize class time and minimize homework. One teacher even high fives each student as they leave every day. One of their goals is to boost self-esteem. If they can keep the students feeling good about who they are the grades and ISATs reflect that. There is less pressure on percentages and more emphasis on being a kid. Through that everything else comes easily. The teachers use positive discipline and are sure to give pats on the back when deserved.
