This school teaches kids how to survive in this world. They learn coping mechanisms, how to become peer helpers, and to be contributing members of society. The level of maturity of the students is amazing. It is lifelong learning. The support of teachers and students is unbeatable. Students and staff will stop all activities to help another student with a problem, whether emotional, behavioral, or physical. They are housed, fed, and educated on campus. There are lots of extracurricular activities. They (especially boys) love to crochette. They have made over 100 lap robes for the elderly in our area and across the nation. Parents are integrated into future planning, and how the child with function after returning home.
