OHS is a terrific school, especially considering what teachers make a year here -- they obviously don't do what they do for the money. They really care about education and even more importantly they really care about the students. I moved here 10 years ago when my boys were 6 and 8, it was the best move we ever made. Our one son is now attending University of Idaho (another great school) and the other one will be a senior this year. This is a great school, in a great town, with great people!

I have children in the elementary, junior, and high schools. They are full of teachers and other staff who care about the children and where they are going. The parental involvement in the town of Orofino is phenomenal as well, and it seems as though everyone is always on top of the kids and how they're doing. Teachers take their own time to call us at home with concerns, before the child is failing. The 4 day school week is working well. Parents simply needed time to make the adjustment. This is definitely a place I hope my grandchildren will be raised.

I am happy there is at least one decent high School in the area. We have our child taking a bus 30 miles just to go to Orofino. We really appriciate the teachers and the extra help in explaning problems with the work and keeping us up to date on our child's progress. Mr. Nelson is always in the oter office willing to help or just talk to the parents needing anything he seems to be very understanding of our child's needs.
