PFMS was vastly different from the school I had attended before. The environment is chaotic with bullying, cursing, and inappropriate behavior. The majority of the staff had complete disregard towards this type of behavior. The teachers don't communicate well, and the parents are not involved. There were a small handful of teachers who really did make a difference, and they really did make a positive impact on me.
I would not recommend this school to anyone. The bullying is out of control and the principle nor teachers seem to care.
My daughter and my husband and I love love love this school and the teachers! We didn't expect to but we are very impressed. It's not just the school it's the parents too that make a difference. We believe if your child has problems there your child needs something.
My husband and I had to work closely with our son's teachers and the principal. The staff was always accommodating and went out of their way to help us however the could. I couldn't ask for more out of a school!
I think they really try at PFMS. there are bullies but I have never personally been to any school that doesn't have there fair share. the kids that are coming on here and trashing the school are just the ones who were in truoble for bad behavior or grades. the staff care and are trying there best with some very difficult families and kids. two of my most favorite teachers EVER taught at this school and my counselor was always there for me even though I was in his office almost every day!
I only had a 1 year shot with this school, and it wasnt necesarilly the greatest for my 6th grade year, it was a jungle there and you had to stand your ground fully and be on guard, lots of bullying and rough play, figthing, cursing ect, the teachers didnt seem to care, i am not one to get into fights but i can recall about 4 times i got into a physical confrontation, not the best school..i mean isnt going into 6th grade hard enough!? let alone in this type of place its a jungle so i wouldnt recommend
There is a lot of bullying everywhere. Some teachers care, but the rest just leave it alone and hope it goes away. In three years there, there has been no improvement and the issues have gotten worse.
i agree, this is a horrible school. lots of bullies and nothing done about it. the child being bullied is the one treated like they are the problem and the bullies are left to run the shool. lots of chaos is the halls... cursing , fighting and so on.....no dicipline.
If I could I would prefer a different school, Definet lack of comunnication amongst staff and student. Fortunatly I have success with his teachers this years but who knows next years. Kids seem to run the school.
This school is horriable, they do not help students are having problems with bullying they just sweep it under the rug. My child will be scared for the rest of his life because of this. The administration is the worst I have ever dealt with they allow bullying in the school. If you send your child here be aware that they do nothing to help the students with special needs they just ignore them and hope they will go away. This also continues into High School they are the same there.
I believe that this school is a very good school. They are very strong and there is a lot of parent involvement. We have very experienced teachers. They can deal with your child with problems and if your child is very advanced.I would recommended this school to everyone.
In my experience as a mother of both a son and a daughter who have recently moved on from PF Middle School, I believe that the classroom was used to implement learning by discussions, the use of multi-media and hands-on instruction. My children have come home with 'a ton of homework to do' as well but they also had the tools to accomplish their task at hand by what they learned in the classroom. Schools are not meant to be a babysitting service or a place to be simply tutored while completing homework, schools are for learning and it stands to reason that 'homework' is meant for home. In the time that my children attended Post Falls they received a lot of homework that kept them on their toes and mentally focused. Post Falls Middle School is a very good school with educators who are not appreciated or even paid as they should be; they are teaching our future leaders the best they can with the resources and limited funding that we have in Idaho.
Post Falls Middle School is an excellent middle school. The teachers are awesome! I had two sons attend the middle school, and both of them are now 20 and 22 and doing excellent.
There is alot of bullying and it is not taken care of. I also believe that the teachers are not teaching the material as well as they should. My child and I spend 2-3 hours on homework every night. That is not okay for the 6th grade. Where are the teachers and why aren't any of these assignments aloud to be done at school? What are they discussing that keeps them from classroom work time. Would not recommend this school to anyone! Would move child if could.
If your child has any type of learning difficulties this is not the school for them. most of the teachers give extra attention to the more advanced students. There is a big gap in communtication between teachers and parents for the most part and also with the principals.
Very inconsistant when it comes to discipline, does not address the problem of bulling and teaseing.lack of comunication between staff. no other school available in district. would not recommend this school to anyone.
