My son is on the autistic scale and has other sensory issues. We didn't know what to look for in a school and lucked out to get an awesome one. He attended kindergarten here and not only grew but thrived. The teacher was awesome. He had a 1on1 helper, a speech & occupational therapist they were all so amazing. They were great at getting families/parents involved in various activities and kept you up to date on your child's' progress.
This school has a large percent of low-income students and it's not uncommon for them to not reach the state's guidelines.
My daughter attended Kennedy for Kindergarten and her teachers were wonderful. Before going to Kindergarten, my daughter was extremely shy to the extent that the doctors were concerned. But the wonderful small classrooms and teacher to student ratio helped her to come out of her shell. They encouraged her to solve her own problems instead of always running to the teacher, and to make lots of friends. She learned to read very quickly and proficiently. And the afterschool programs are amazing! These programs also helped her to meet new people and try new things!
