I was nervous about putting my 3 children in this school due to the testing scores and rating. I have no regrets 2 yrs later. The testing scores are only due to the fact that this is a largely agricultural community and most of the children travel in the winter. This affects their schooling, and pulls down the overall grades of the school. The principal genuinely cares about his students and the education they are getting. The teachers are EXCEPTIONAL, and the parent involvement here is amazing. My kids have been to 4 different schools and this is by far better than any of the 7,8,&9 and rated schools they attended. I cannot say enough good things about it!
Holmes Elementary School is a warm and inviting place that daily welcomes my child with challenging, yet exciting, school work. The administration and teachers are readily available to address any concerns parents may have and my children never want to miss a day of school. This in itself is proof that Holmes Elementary is a great school! I rate this school a full 10!
