This school is ok i guess, they cut out the music and art programs to limited stutents. The teachers are great but some are very, mean, but thats my opinion, there are a lot of racial issues in this school typically through white and hispanics and whites and blacks. If your kid knows right from wrong he/she will probly be ok, but it is easy to be with the wrong crowd. There are alot of gang issues around right now. Alot of fights have been happening, the deans are cool though. Overall if your kid is strong minded and knows right from wrong real good there might be a chance he/she will be ok. Take it from me im a 7th grade student at this school

The school is great i moved from the south side of chicago and my daughter loves it. She play basketball and is on the track team. Your child is safe all the time because of the officer in school and the police station across the street. She say that the school is very clean, nice students and teachers,we were planning on moving but she did not want to leave her new friends. If thinking about going to the school please do,its great!

The quality of the academic programs was great, and the availability of music, art, sports and other extracurricular activities was adequate. From what we saw, the school had close to 100% parental involvement. Our daughters loved going to the school and both achieved an A- average.

I think that Indian Trail is an awesome Jr. High. I just got home from open house. I think all the teachers are top notch. I was really scared to send my daughter to a public school but I'm so happy she is at this school. She has learned so much. This school really prepares your child for High School. They offer so much. The Spanish teacher is great....The whole school is clean. If you have a chance to send your child to this school you won't be sorry...

My children really enjoy this school. They have been invovled with several extracurricular activities which makes the whole school experience more memorable. I think that some of the teachers should be retired because they seem to be tired of teaching but several of the younger teachers are encouraging and energetic and bring enthusiasm to the classroom.

I think that the schools have gotten to far away from the basic elements of education. They do not teach phonics anymore, and all this new progressive teaching such as the chicago math, are not geared for the average student. They focus too much on the above average students, and the average or below average children suffer. Also kids receive way to much homework. 3 hours of homework a night for children in grades 3-8 is insane. More work should be done at school where the teacher can offer help to students during class time.
