This junior high school has an excellent principal. She has wonderful leadership qualities that can be seen throughout the school. She has an excellent rapport with her teachers and students. The teachers go above and beyond their duties. I am very pleased with our junior high school.
Prairie is a very excellent school. It does not only serve you an right to an education, but also has you learn and teaches the importance of school, lessons of life, and it urges you to go on with your life and aducation. I was a student with a hard life but Prairie did not only keep me going to realize the importance of your education, but also the teachers were phanominal to show me that they cared and were there. As Prairie you feel like that is your family, and you feel very comforatble.
I am currently an eight grader and would like to say that PJH is, what I would call, the best Junior High in the state. First of all, the teachers are great, though I would like to point a few out. Rita McDermott (7th and 8th grade reading teacher) is amazing. She makes you want to come to school just for that class. She is nice, fun and a great teacher overall. Nancy Mayfield (7th and 8th grade social studies teacher) is also quite fantastic. She has an awesome attitude and teaching style and is a very fun teacher to have. Besides teachers, another great thing Prairie has to offer is all of the clubs. One of the best is band. 5 years in a row, we have won the band confrence competition, which is very good since we practice 3 days less per week than other bands. Overall, Prairie=Awesome!
I am currently a 7th grader going into 8th grade and i would like to say that every child will not be left out of the fun! everyday we have many funs things to do! I for one was a very shy person coming into prarie...now im an outstanding High Honor A student who talks to every new person...I have made many friends this way. If you have just moved to the Alsip/OakLawn area I engourage you to vist praire. Like Mr. Birminham says 'Make good Choices and Ask Good Questons.' =]
Praire is a wonderful school. They make you feel like you're part of a family. Every day they start it off with an assembly and you really feel like you're a part of something. There are tons of clubs and the classes are really fun.
PJHis a excellent school to go to every day. All of the teachers are nice here, we all get too do really cool projects here. We have lots of things to sing up for at PJH. If you are looking for and nice and safe school come to PJH.
Prairie Junior High is a good school I was in the advanced art class which was a good club we made a mirul that was soooo big the mayor of Alsip came to see it the school is all around good but not easy there gonna challenge you because thats what learning is they prepare you for highschool so go to Prairie for a good education
I love Priarie im graduating this year 2008 and i dont want to graduate my kool school its fun being in it clubs, sports teachers and finally nice administrators.
I am a eighth grader right now and I very much enjoy everything we do at PJH. All of the teachers have this great connection with the students. If I had a choice I would not be leaving this wonderful school but I go knowing that I have had a wonderful experience.
I'm a 7 grade student at prairie J. high.I really like it here.even though I got transferred to it late and didn't have the chance to get involved in any of the clubs, but I still have next year. I really like the students, and the Administration is so caring to everyone.this school will teach you a lot of things.the best of them is 'make good choices, and ask good questions' as what Mr. Birmingham (assistant principal) always say.I really can't believe that next year I will get out of the school, but anyway I would've had a lot of good times.the teachers and administration and students are so nice and respectful. I wish everyone would get to see the school and how good it is.
