My daughter graduated from Antioch High last year. She was an honors students who was in 3 honors classes. Now she is excelling in college as a nursing student. I think ACHS is one of the better schools in Lake County. I also went to ACHS and graduated 20 years before my daughter and even 20 years ago, it was still one of the best in Lake County. I love this school and the staff is very nice and easy to get a hold of. ACHS has alot of classes that other high schools don't have like Psychology, that gives the students college credit. I give this school 5 out 5 stars

Good school. I worked there for almost 6 years and loved it. The students are enjoyable and administration made tried to make the teachers' jobs more productive with their contributions.

It has been a few years since I attended A.C.H.S. While I feel they had, and still have their share of drug problems, my major problem is their lack of a great curriculum. I attended A.U.G.S. where I was an honor roll student and as soon as I reached high school my grades started to plummet. I have spend the last few years trying to play catch up and after I finish college (I'm going for my education degree) I hope I can better prepare my students for these 4 tough years of their life.

My second son will graduate from ACHS this year. We are impressed with the school and the principal's hands on involvement. I have been on two parent groups and can attest to the school's commitment to scholastics with many award winning activities as well as an aggresive, proactive drug policy. We choose to live in Antioch because it offers a small town atmosphere with all the benefits of a larger, more expensive school district.

I am a graduate of Antioch Community High School, and I must say that this school hardly prepared me for the challenges of college. I never had to attend class or do all of my homework assgnments in oreder to get an above average grade.

My freshman attends ACHS. Whether he graduates from there remains to be seen as I move frequently in my job. Either way the point is that there is no 'Utopia' when it comes to drugs and school. I grew up in NYC and my school was known as the 'Pill on the Hill'. Need I elaborate? In my travels I've seen numerous schools, and my children have attended numerous schools, and regardless of location unfortunately none are totally drug free. The best thing you can do for your children is to educate them on the dangers of drugs, peer pressure, and for you to be aware of the signs of drug use. I have known many home schooled children, guess what, they're not exempt from drug use either. If they really want to do it, they will. Advise to all, be an informed and active parent!

I think this school needs to wake-up to the drug and alcohol problems in this school. the rest of my family will be home schooled because of the problems in this school. they are rated in the top 10 schools for problems with drugs and alcohol thats passing in these halls daily. where are the cops. i am totally disgusted with this school and would never recommend anyone to send there child there.

I am a graduate of Antioch and I must say my high school years were not the greatest. I have spent much of my college life catching up where Antioch failed. It also does not help when you are a minority student. Staff does not teach tolerance, and you end up fending for yourself.
