I sent my Preschooler to Annunciation and it was an awful experience. I have a younger sibbling who went here, and had a much more positive experience. The curriculum is great, I will give the school that- for all grade levels. However, i was not impressed with the Preschool teacher. She was very condescending and my child did get bullied. I work far, and when trying to talk to the Principal and the teacher, I was given a 10 minute timeframe before my child started class. I rescheduled and made them sit with me for an hour. There was a boy bullying my daughter, including kicking her. My daughter told her teacher and when we addressed the situation, she said the child wasn't hitting her, he just kicked her- three times. I didn't understand what she meant, physical contact is physical contact. Since then, we had a horrible rest of the year. I volunteered to be on the field trip and sent the papers the week before. They day of (I took the day off from work), I got an email that they hadn't received the papers. Less than 30 minutes before the field trip! I was livid and did not attend. She was horrible, and the school never properly addressed that. I wasted a lot of money there.

I have had 3 children graduate from Annunciation with great results. My children were well prepared for high school and college. This school helped to give them a well rounded experience. All 3 have thanked me for sending them there. This was a good investment!

This is an amazing school! The teachers are so nice and we do fun projects and stuff we are actually interested in. It's nice because we dont have a million different teaches so we know who we are going to have. Also you dont have to worry about being bullied. One thing i would like to change though is adding more stuff for us older kids to do during recess . I would also like to maybe have them add a health class. But Other than those last 2 things Annunciation is a great school! I highly recommend it!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
