My 17 year old attended Washington 4 years ago. I found safety at this school to be a serious issue as there is not enough adult supervision, nor parental involvement to watch children during passing periods. Physical bullying was a strong issue there. Academically, I was pleased with all but 1 teacher. I was not pleased with the Principal in the least.
I've only been at Washington for 6 months. I was welcomed and fit right in from the start. It was like home. The teachers made learning fun. Open discussion was encouraged. What a great way to learn by everyone stating their views.
Washington Middle School is a very good school. they are academicly very sound. The Teachers are very understanding and very Helpful. The school offers homework help club after school. Mixture of students with different ethnic Backgrounds is fairly even. It is a wonderful school with great Teachers, and Excellent leadership. Good choices for extracurricular activities. Good base for parent involvement.
