I give this school 3 stars for a few reasons. One the school should not have community school supplies. They should have there own school box with all there own stuff in it. Two the kids should have desks like a normal school has not tables. Some of the kids when the teacher is at the front of the class have to completely turn around to see. Not good! The old principal ruined the school so hopefully the new one will make a lot of good changes and then I would re-evalutate the school. The doors are missing from the kdis bathrooms. The school is always very, very warm. They will not let the kids take homework home if they are going to be absent from school whether it be for a few days or a week. Just some minor changes and they would rate much higher.

This school is terrible! The principal is bery loud mouthed and the teachers are just doing their time until they retire. If you have a special needs child, forget about getting any help for them at all. This school and this district are just not interested.....they only want their paychecks. The kids get maybe 15 minutes of recess at most, gym class once a week only, few extra activities and the parent cliques are reminiscent of junior high! The "teachers" either don't or can't teach and the kids don't learn, my two children are so far behind where they should be it's rediculous! This is why we are finally choosing to homeschool. It's pretty bad when I see a few of the good teachers in this district where I work and THEY are so fed up they are quitting or retiring just to get out.

The school is kind of iffy. I mean they are okay but a few teachers need to be replaced. I guess I should have stuck to Spring Trail, but oh well....

My daughter had behavioral issues in 1st grade and it was addressed immediately. We met with the teacher first and followed up with a group including the psychologist, social worker, LDS Specialist, and principal. We discussed what we could be doing at home and came up with strategies for the teacher to follow to help her as well. Very good discussion and it seemed to work well. 2nd grade has had its ups and downs too, but overall the communication between us and the current teacher has been responsive and effective so far. They understand that not every child learns at the same pace and have adjusted. Both of the teachers she has had have advanced degrees (Masters). I haven't had much invovlement with the prinicipal except when she coordinated the group 'intervention' meeting. The LDS Specialist Mrs. Manson is excellent!

the school is great in the areas of extra activities and pth, parent involvement is great the principal is another story and some of the teachers are a joke your child would do good in this school only if they do not have a problem of any sorts very hard to get extra help needed out of this school and school district help all they do is pass children on so it gets harder and harder

I am very impressed with the way the school is ran. There is alot of teacher involvement with the kids and the teachers genuinely care aboutthe students and really want them to excel. I especially like the way they address the principal as not only seen when in trouble but also when they are doing well and try to help each student as much as possible.

Principal's words regarding parents are disrespectful. Great teachers with high standards.

Good PTH - there are a lot of extras offered because of the PTH, however the same 20 people do everything. School is run rather strictly, good in many aspects but unnecessary in others. Principal's words regarding parents are respectful but her actions towards parents and behind their backs are disrespectful. Many, Many great teachers with high standards.

Great Elementary school. admin/teachers take active role in properly shaping students; high expectations for behavior, appropriate dress, academic excellence, making 'good choices'. high level of parent involvement for those parents who do get involved...wish overall number of parent participants were higher. Great PTA; many extra programs paid for by PTH for student enrichment. Admin/teachers really go the extra mile for all students to achieve, and even more so for those who are struggling.
