The principal is a really nice guy. He is sincere about his career in education, as well as working to create a positive learning environment. I suggest you the parent get to know him and collaborate with him so he can continue to work hard at helping our children to walk and behave in a respectful positive manner.

If you get involved, play an active role in your child's education and see administrators and teachers as teammates as oppose to adversaries, I proclaim that most schools will meet your needs. And MacArthur is no exception. In my opinion, the district as well as the school have great leadership and they are truly concern about the education and well-being of all children. I sincerely thank District 87 and MacArthur Middle School for helping my wife and I provide a top-notch education for both my boys who are well equiped to compete in this global society.

I think that macarthur middle school is a good school but should have more art classes. I think this would help kids get out there emotions and help them express themselves. the academic program I think could get better. this is what I think and I hope that my opion will help them make some changes at macarthur middle school.

Academics are average for the demographic and there are some extra curriculars and an outstanding band program. Parents are working class nd are a little uninvolved.

I attended this school, and I was a part of the programs for gifted students and although the school didnt have a lot of money to invest in the program it was fun and educational. All students learned to play the keyboard, there were a good amount of after school programs including art and music.

I used to teach at this school. Most of the teachers are great...The administration is terrible! one child gets a huge punishment, and another kid gets off without anything (for the same thing). The principal wants to be 'cool', and the kids know this and want to be his friend. I can not say enough about how bad the administration is.

The school is a disgrace. I sent my child to that school in 6th grade and I regretted it everyday of my life. There is constant fighting and cursing. There are only a handful of good teachers there. The principal exercises very little of her control and when she does it is only to make matters take a turn for the worse.

I only know of a few parents who are really involved with their kids and those kids are doing well in class. The school does not force parents to get involved . Your student will do as well as your involvement.

The adults have no control over the students. There is not enough supervision at this school.
