What a blessing it is to teach at a school with a supportive principal, fabulous staff, great students and encouraging parents! Our Christ-centered environment leads students to grow in their faith and show God's grace in their lives. Teaching at Zion Lutheran School is a JOY!

Zion Lutheran School and Preschool is an excellent academic choice in the Bethalto area. Students are consistently test above public school students by at least 1/2 year. There are SmartBoards in every classroom K-8, a very good student-teacher ratio, and lots of choices for extracurricular activities. As of 2010, all students grade 1 through grade 8 are learning Spanish, and all students K-8 receive instruction on computers. Students can participate in band starting in the 5th grade and receive both group and individual lessons. Students can also choose to receive private piano lessons at school. Beside excellent academics, the school offers a Christ-centered atmosphere and is fully supported by the congregation of the church. As a matter of fact, the school is the number one mission of the church. While Zion does charge tuition, there are ample scholarship funds available and the guidelines for qualifying are quite liberal.

When i went to this school i went all through k-8th grade. Upon graduating 8th grade i went to public high school. The students that attended public school were much more ahead than most of my 8th grade class leaving all of us behind! I think Zions books and teaching cirriculum is way behind! Get with it Zion!

We cannot give enough praise to the school. Our children now attend, our daughter in preschool and our son will be entering third grade. We can not imagine sending them anywere else. The faculty are the nicest people and truly care for the students. In the nation wide test that are given each year, the students at Zion score collectively 75% higher than the national average. Not only a great education but the love and Christian ideas shared at the school, have an amazing effect on the children. I have yet to meet a child from the school who was not polite and respectful. Not only my wife and I, but all of our family say that there is no way we would allow our children to go anywere else. If you are looking for that one great school for your children, you should look into Zion Lutheran School!
