As a parent with two children attending Universal school I must say the school is a disappointment. There is allot of politics that play out behind the scenes that directly and indirectly affect the children. While some things look good on paper, in reality they are substandard. For instance, an engineer with a masters degree was hired for the junior high math; however, her lack of teaching methods and inability to control her classroom mean the children suffer. I find myself having to review lessons with my child at home. I don't believe the principal is qualified for her roll, but again, she plays the political game with the board. In some instances your children's grades are affected by how often you're in the teacher's face and complain. If you can look into another Islamic school or if you are already located in a good school district, I would suggest supplementing public school with after-school programs offered by MAS or another mosque.

It really is not too great. Not diverse at all and many relationships between boys and girls. I took my daughter out a while ago after seeing the true light of the school. Don't do it.. there are better schools like IFS (where my daughter happily goes now) or CPSA.

I am both a teacher and a parent, and I believe that having this school in existence is a blessing. The environment is unique, and I wish the staff, the parents, and the students years and years of success.

I am a parent of Universal School, and i would like to say that it is an oustanding school. Currently i have 2 children attending Universal and i hope insha'Allah that they will continue to attend the school until they graduate. The administration they have is remarkable, very outgoing and understanding. May Allah Bless them.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
