This is an excellent school! My kids have gone here for the last 8 years and I could not be more pleased with this school. They offer all types of extra-curricular programs, not just sports. Band, Chorus, Marching Band, Scholar Bowl and Student Council, just to name a few. The new Band and Chorus teacher is outstanding and she really works hard with the kids. The school building is one of the cleanest and well kept schools I have been in. Also, they have excellent technology...SmartBoards in every room and a brand new computer lab. The teachers are friendly and they answer my questions any time I call or come by the school. Also, the school continues to do well on the State Testing and they continue to make AYP. Best K-8 school district in the Centralia Area...hands down!

Central City is one of the best schools for Acedemics and sports in Marion Co, I may be bias because I went to school here and my fifteen year old did, My middle child will be attending 6th grade in the fall and my 5 year old will start kindergarten. The school has many different programs to help underpriveledge children. Early Childhood, in which my son attended really helped with his fine motor skills. There is another program that assist slower learning individuals and misbehaved individuals. The Boy's basketball coach is awesome, my son really looks up to him for guidance and makes my son work hard for what he wants, as well he inspires my son to do things he never thought he would do such as running in the State Cross Country Finals for the district.
