My daughter has been at Habitat for 2 years now in the primary classroom. I can not say enough positive words about the quality of education she has received, and perhaps more important, the real feeling of community at this school. Mrs. Shimmin and Mrs. Schuster are very different in personality, but they make a wonderful pair of teachers, both incredibly loving and patient. Montessori may not be the best fit for every child, but for our daughter, independent work and a real sense of choice in directing her own learning were a great fit. She leaves MHS reading well, writing well, doing math confidently, and thriving as a creative and curious child. We are sad to go, and would not leave if not for a move out of state.
