This school is bad. The teachers are annoying and the enviornment is just horrible! These students have absolutely no future ahead of them!
This school is in great need of more supportive parents and someone willing to step and run a PTO. Many parents do not pick up report cards on time or seek the truth when their student is in trouble. With this district facing the layoff of 87 teachers I am unsure of the future of the students.
My children are current students,The teachers are great there .It is not the teachers who are not tring. The parents need to get invoved with thier childrens education and behavior. My childrens teachers push them to do their best. The parents need to stay on thier own children the teachers can't do it all!!!
Wilson School is constantly improving. People on the outside may not know how dedicated the teachers are to the success of the students. We need more parental involvment. I love working here!
Wilson is a great school in a rough area, but its very rearding i recomend it and the teachers are the best
While the K-2 grade teachers do their best to push the kids towards excellence, the 3rd-8th grade teachers are lagging. I may be forced to put my child into a private school next year.
My son went to this school from K thru 3rd grade. The school is very unorganized, they seem to be a little behind in the academics. The area is in a bad neighborhood, and most of the parents don't seem to be involved.
Wilson School is desparetly in need of a major overhaul in its teaching and administrative staffs. The students at this school are far behind other students in the district and state due to outdated course materials and substandard teaching, and the administrative staff is poorly unorganized. Although I am delighted that the former Principal is being replaced, this is just a small step towards progress. If Chicago Heights wants to attract new homebuyers to the Wilson School district, then it should concentrate on improving this school. Because of these problems, I am currently seeking private schooling for my children.
