This school lacks the ability to give students enough freedom. Therefor students rebel, and that causes a lot of students to act out. The students though, also need to learn to behave and act as if they are in High school, the bullying at this school, is too much, due to the ignorance of the students.
I am a student here and this is a beautiful school, but not a very good school. The staff is wonderful, they do their best to help their students, but their students don't cooperate. Many students complain about how the teachers don't do their job, well I know they are, but the students are not, they are just giving the teachers a hard time. The school has to come up with new discipline rules and stop wasting their money on things they dont need and waste it on the students.
As a student of Bloom High School it has been brought to my attention that it isn't just the students fault for the school being 'sub-par' the building is inhabited by a wonderful staff and is full of opportunity, the mind set which some of the people here have demonstrated is what is over-shadowing the good going on there and also holding us back.
My son is now a Sophomore at Bloom. The teachers are very helpful and always willing to give a student extra help when needed. The Principal is also very good. I am very happy with the highschool.
As a parent with a current student attending Bloom, I am highly dissatisfied with the quality of teachers and courses. I believe, that the administration does not have the willpower to improve the curriculum, however, they have a thousand and one rules governing the behavior of students. In the past my other children have had problems with various instructors, over grades. However, I do recognize that some students do in fact present major problems.
I graduated in 2003 and from there it is still going downhill. I was lucky to even make it to college! While my roommate started college as a junior because of 60 AP credit hours I had none because Bloom only offered 2 AP courses. They were talking about after our class not offering them at all! While the teachers and staff our generally nice, the education is not!
I think bloom is a great school. My daughter is having a great year. And the new principal is doing every thing a lot better then the last one. I disagree with who ever dislikes bloom. **laura ayala**
As a former graduate of Bloom Trail, I wouldn't wish the torture of this school upon anyone. As long as Ford Heights filters into this school, I will never send my kids to this school. If you live in district try to take advantage of the No Child Left Behind Act and send them somewhere else. Or just move to Indiana.
This school is very good. It has very good teachers that listen and care about you. All the sports are very competative and very good. All the students are very nice and loving.
I think that school does not meet its standards. I think that the people here are very rude/racist. Many students here are failing the average knowledge. Personally I would not send my child here to get an education, because of the poor teaching and the poor students here.
