I graduated in 01. And the bad reviews I've read so far are pretty much true. Too many bad students, particularly the one's in gangs. On my first day of school I've seen two fights. The teacher's. Were OK. Its just how the school is run, which is poorly.

Before going to Kelvyn Park, i heard that it was horrible! Fights everyday, nobody there cares. i attended there as a freshmen today i'm a junior, a really invovled succesful junior. People and Students say this school is poorly runned and not good. the truth is there just cintributing to what they're saying. if they really wanted to see KP a GOOD SCHOOL. then we all should stand up and do somthing about it. I' am really glad i attended Kelvyn Park.

Sorry to say, but this school is extremely poorly run, the kids are not learning, and there is no discipline whatsoever. Kids are yelling, swearing and being disrespectful to the teachers and to each other with no consequences. My kid came to this school with very good grades now his grades have fallen. there too many gangbangers who do nothing but create problems for the rest. This is the last year my child will be attending. The new principal is just as bad as the old one!!! Nothing has changed; the Board needs to close it down and reopen it withsomeone who is not afraid of enforcing rules.

Im a a student at kp since 2005. And all I got to say is I hate the school. The kids are main reason why.Theres always clicks And don't seem to care about there education except for material things to be cool. And another thing there are some teachers that are nice, and that care, but are others that don;t care about some of the students they give us work withough explaning it to use.And there are some teachers that love to get studnets into trouble. I been here for 4 years this is got to be the worst school I ever seen. There other schools that are better than this crap the paintings is chiping off , and the floors that are made of hard stuff is coming off but they are not doing anything about it.

As an alumni of this school. I can say I had a few good teachers, but this school doesn't prepar you for college/University or life. I wouldn't send my children here.

I have been here at kelvyn park since sept 2002 and I am graduating june 2006. Kelvyn Park has help me with everything that I needed help in if it was in one of my classes or just asling a question. Kelvyn Park also helps support students with their homework if they need help in a certain topic then thier is tutoring either by our teachers themselves or some students mentors that the school has Called The Natinoal PuertoRican Forum. We also offer many sports programs that will help benefit the students in that certain need of training. Also if the coach seees that student is not doing so well in a class then he or she will be placed in tutoring . We also have a Local School Concil that talks about the problems and great things that have happen to kelvyn park in the last month or so.

It is unfortunate but a true reality that this school is one of the worst schools i have ever seen. Some of the teachers have low expectations of the students. In general, the curriculum is of poor quality. The principal is more concern about the physical upkeep of the building than that of the students' academics. Though, the principal is very good at giving speeches about how concern she is about the students academics, etc., The 'open door' policy that is proclaimed does not exit for this administration! it is all talk! parental involvement is all non-existant. Attendance rate at this school is extremely poor. Do not even consider registering your child at this school!
