I graduated from Lane in 2009, I Loved it!!! Those were the best years in my life so far. Drama Club, GSA and being apart of the mentoring program gave me so many memories. Some teachers weren't the best, but every school has that. I want to teach at Lane when I get done with school at DePaul. Just a great place to be, I always felt safe and I always wanted to go to school.

Lane is a wonderful school. Students have so many classes and activities to chose from. The AP classes are challenging but students learn so much through them. Most teachers are very supportive as well as the community and other students. Some of its best qualitie's are that the school is diverse and the students very united.

Lane is a fabulous school and keeps improving. The principal, Dr. Lobasco is not only great at what she does but also listens to the parents and responds. The parents seem to becoming more involved, and I like the academic, sports, music, service and other various programs that the school provides. Students need to stay focused but they can become involved in so many things. Great school!

My daughter recently graduated from Lane and I couldn't be happier with the quality of education she received there. The teachers and administrators really do put the children first and push them to their fullest potential. The student body is full of bright young minds ready to learn and push things to the next level. My daugher will be heading off to college with all that she has learned at Lane (both in and out of the classroom) and will be striving to be the best that she can be. Thank you Lane!!!

I am really glad we chose Lane Tech for my daughter who was accepted into the Advanced Honors program. The program is rigorous and keeps her on her toes but it was the feeling we got from the open house that made us choose Lane over other schools. That feeling has not gone away. My first time there, I noticed the down to earth nature of the faculty as well as the students. The kids were happy, friendly and outgoing unlike in other selective enrollment schools where the kids seemed overconfident and entitled. The teachers and staff at Lane could not be nicer or more helpful; despite the large size of the school, they treat each student as an individual. Students have to prove themselves academically but respect for the individual is always present and encouraged. I feel that my daughter is getting a real world experience in this high school every day, where she is taught how to compete, thrive and become a socially responsible person. When she had a problem last year, the staff, principal and teachers were attentive and have helped her get back on track. Go Lane go!

Very attentive, devoted, well trained, and experienced teachers and incredible counseling staff. This Selective Enrollment school is fortunate to have a population of devoted students with success on and off the field. It now has the newest Academic Center for 7th and 8th graders.

This is the VERY BEST High School in Chicago and possibly in the nation!!! Consider yourselves privileged. Stop complaining and whining about the little things. You must be expecting everything is going to be handed to you and don't need to try to achieve knowledge on your own. If you follow this path, you will never achieve success in life. Do what you need to do to graduate and continue on in your education and you will be successful. Good Luck. ..........A 1964 Alum

This is a great school. I have no regret going to this school. It has great teachers, friendly student body, and lots of extra curriculum activities. If you can name all the top rank universities in the United States, in any of them, there will be at least a Lane Tech student attending it.
