May School is TERRIBLE and I wish I had never transferred my 2 kids from their previous school. But, being a parent who is concerned for their safety, I didnt want them traveling on 2 CTA buses to school. I should have let them travel. Never have I seen children like these. Yes, the principal and the disciplinarian are males but, they can only do so much which isn't nearly enough. As far as having gym, i would rather they have more reading or math. The overall test scores are so low that they only scored 1 out of 10!! Get real. Gym isn't that important when you have those kinds of results. I am currently in the process of finding another school that will take them and have higher educational standards.

The student now have gym once a week and the principal & the assistant princal are males, but they still have a disipline problems, the after school programs are great.

May community academy is the worst school my child ever attended.The students did not have gym,there were no assembly meeting of students and no award ceremonies. the school should have more male staff employed.
