Lavizzo School is getting better all the time. Many changes have taken place since 2010. The school is a nice school to visit and as a parent I feel the staff listens to me when I come up to the school to discuss things. The neighborhood is reckless but you dont notice that in the school. Good teachers are working at the school now and the pricipal and assistant principal are making a difference. My kids like the school and dont want to stay home like they did at other schools. More parents need to be involved. There are some parents involved but the community needs more parents to help out and support the school.

This school is the worst school I have ever experienced. They are quick to suspend your child for the slightest problem. They don't have any people skills when calling or talking to you over the phone. Education is not the number 1 priority on their list. Safety and security is a joke at this school.

I have 5 kids that attend lavizzo, half the teachers are good and half are not. You never see the principal nor can get in touch with the staff. Their is a lady who works in the office name Mrs. Adams she is very polite and has never been rude. Mrs. Adams is very professional. This school system need's lot of working on.
