My son went here for PK the teacher was great. The school overall was just wild. The principle appeared to not care about the concerns of the parents. The children seemed to dictate the direction of the classroom and lunchrooms. The Vice-Principle spent more time asking why my son was out of school even though I brought documentation stating he was in the hospital, than addressing disciplinary concerns of the students. The students regularly used foul language even in kindergarten and PK. I pulled my son out mid year in kindergarten. It took 2 weeks to do so because their copier was down and they couldn't print anytheing to allow him to transfer. I had to call the board of education just to get his records released so that I could send him to another school. The environment encourages behavior problems in the children. My son learned at school he could do what ever he wanted but at home he better listen to his parents. My son attends another school now and none of these issues are present. This school is a nightmare avoid it like the plague. I gave 2 stars for the 2 teachers that seem to really make a difference.

I love this school and the educators within. This is my son's second year at Wadsworth, and I only have high praises for the teaches and the staff. Last year, I admit I was somewhat hesitant about him returning because of the older children's behavior and the lack of control there was, but this year the school changed paths and decided to only admit students PreK -5th grade...what a difference. I feel my son is in a safe environment now and love the fact that like his kindergarten teacher (who I loved so much) his 1st grade teacher is an advocate of reading. I also love the fact that the Assistant prinicpal has a relationship with his students, and knows each of them by name. I would recommend Wadsworth to any parent who needs reassurance that their child will be provided a good education.

This school is moving forward in a positive manner. It has grant winner teachers in its primary grade and there are National Board Certified Teachers in PreK, 1st and 3rd. All of this is key in providing a high quality education; which is happening here!

I only have experience with Pre-K and Kindergarten, but both classrooms and teachers have been amazing. Both have many years of experience, are creative, loving, firm, and have done a great job teaching all the basics to 3-5 yo's. I would highly recommend these teachers to any one.

I cannot wait to get my grandchild OUT of there. My grandchild has had 2-3 different teachers, the classroom is out of control and they can't control their bullies.

This is in response to the July 2005 review. Yes, there was a new prinipal and some new staff members, but this was not excuse for what was going on in this school, and what continues to go on. The students are the ones to pay the ultimate price for not having what is needed for them to learn, and this includes a proper teacher. My daughter had a horrible teacher. I did offer my support, and got absolutely no where. No, you can't just transfer your child out of the school, because where are you going to put them. The person who wrote the July 2005 response has a bias opinion. I have seen very little improvement in this school, which means that the 'new' principal and staff are not getting the job done. It is now October, and my child does not have a teacher.

This is a post in response to the first parent review. The year she is talking about there was a new principal, new assistant principal, and several new teachers. This was an unusual set of circumstances. With that said, if the accusations of this parent are warranted, then as a responsible parent she should have stepped in to either support this new teacher and administration or transferred her child to a new school immediately. The overall standardized test scores in reading went up approximately 5% this year, indicating that the new administration and staff are getting the school and academics under control.
