My son who is a junior in high school graduated from this middle school and my daughter is finishing her last year in 8th grade at NCA. My son says that NCA really prepared him for a college prep high school. The language arts classes were especially good at preparing him for his writing and english classes. The math curriculum is bettter, but still a bit weak. My daughter has really benefited from the class size of somewhere between 18 and 25. NCA is great academically, but the community is what makes NCA stand above the rest.

I love NCA's Middle School because it really nurtures my kids during that adolescent age (with all the changes and stresses). Students get the same challenging curriculum they had at the primary campus (including Art, Music, PE, Computer, Spanish), but since the building only houses 6-8 grade, they get more attention. I like that they change classes and have lockers in the hallway - I think this is a great preparation for High School. I also like that they get to pick an elective class. Since it's only 6-8, I think the kids feel like they are more mature or special to have their own building - in reality, I think it is more nurturing and they get more attention than they would in a prek-8 school.

I love the teachers! Also because it's great neighborhood school with committed families and community.
