As a former recipient of a private school education when I was a child, I find that the principal at this particular school has assembled an impressive staff that connects with the students in a way that encourages their learning. St.Ailbe Catholic School has a wonderful academic environment. Being a former graduate, I can personally tell you St.Ailbe has provided me with key values that will enable me to become a successful and responsible citizen of our society.

With the new administration and new technology at St. Ailbe, this school is one of the best I have taught at. It has 100% licensed and caring professional teachers. Students must work hard to attain success with the challenging academic math, reading, and science programs. After school enrichment programs are offered in Band, Choir, Foreign Language, Yearbook, Reading clubs, and tutoring. Gym and Swim at the local YMCA enhance the student's all around health. Weekly Mass, Religion taught by Catholic teachers, and prayer in the classroom can mirror your family VALUES. The new principal always has time to talk to parents and students !!

this school has changed alot over the years. the teachers are always changing but that just means new things for the students to learn. With the new principal there are alot of new things There are lots of programs to make the learning experience better. most importantly all the teachers and workers at st.ailbe want the best for all students, they make sure you are on tract to make the best grades. if you want your child to be in an atmosphere of fun and seriousness at times send them to St.Ailbe.

Whoever posted 'Good school. Good students...' must be at some other St. Ailbe. The school is an absolute joke. The principal is never present mentally or physically. The office staff is discourteous and lacks knowledge in professionalism. The sanitation conditions of the school are disgusting. My child has often complained of foul odor in the restrooms as well as in the school. During the winter, please make sure your insurance is current because the grounds are not shoveled or salted. Discipline and safety concerns for the children are absent. Recently, I've been informed of illegal drugs being brought into the school. You would think parents would have been notified by the school, however, in my case, I was informed by my child. The only positive about the school is the teachers. For the most part, they are knowledgable about the content they teach and express a genuine concern for the children.

I am extremely disgusted by this school. While the teachers and the curriculum are excellent, the administration is incompetent and unfriendly. The principal is always too 'busy to talk to parents about their issues and concerns. She certainly isn't busy ensuring proper discipline and sanitation in the school. Discipline is a joke since the adminitrators are neither present nor consistant. The only positive thing I have to say about the school is concerning the teachers. They are truely caring and passionate about what they do. However, if conditions don't improve, even that may change. The lack of leadership in the school is something you should look into before sending your child here.

My child has been attending St. Ailbe school for 7 years and I have had experience with former teachers and the previous school administration. I was on the verge of removing my child from the school but am satisfied with the changes the current Principal has made in the last few years. In my opinion there was a lot of cleaning up that the Adminstration had to do. There are now competent, qualified, and caring teachers and the academic program has strengthed tremendously !

I am utterly disgusted by this school. while the teachers are fabulous, the administration is incompetent and unfriendly. By the end of my child's first year at St. Ailbe her math score rose 30 percentile points on the Terra Nova tests. Her cumulative score was up 8 points. Also important, she has made friends and likes school. She loves schools and she loves band.

My son started at St. Ailbe last year and unfortunately it was not what I expected especially coming from a smaller school and less tuition. For the amount of money that you pay, you are not getting much. They emphasis their fine arts more than anything.

This was my first year at St. Ailbe, and also my last. My reasons for leaving include curriculum, tuition price and administration. I was told by the school's administration that the curriculum was academically sound, and test scores were good. I am extremely disappointed by the curriculum oveall, and it doesn't stress language arts which is essential to success on the language driven Terra Nova Tests. Each grade is a hit or miss - some teachers good some bad. This school prides itself on their extracurriclars choir, band and drama classes rather than academics. In closing, it seems the administration is in transistion with a 2nd year principal who needs more training in leadership, professionalism, and working better with parents. My advice - before registering here, DO your homework and review. You're not getting your bang for your bucks.

I am a St. Ailbe parent who is very pleased with the school. Yes, there are some issues I don't like, but what school doesn't have issues. There is a new principal and there have been some changes...for the better. The school is continually growing and improving. All the staff is very pleasant and supportive and the parents seem nice. The curriculum seems to be improving and I've been told most of the eighth graders got accepted into good schools. That says something about the school.

2005-2006 was my first school year at St. Ailbe. The following story is unbelievable, sad, and true. I asked a teacher if my daugther could take her books home. If math was taught that day, please bring the math book home, if reading, bring the reading book home, etc. Well the teacher collected the books and placed the books on the shelf. From Aug to Oct. I kept asking for books but my daughter never brought the books home. Well I asked the principal if she was aware of what was going on because I was frustrated. I am thinking of taking my children out of this school. The principal replied some people like St. Ailbe and some people don't. For the people who dont like St. Ailbe. They should find another school. This matter went to the priest and since then it has been a misunderstanding.

It sounds as if the persons who left the previous comments are quite unfamiliar with the school. My child has attended St. Ailbe School for the last five years and I must say that the school is moving forward in a postive manner. I am pleased at the direction the school is moving in and am pleased with the academic programs, and the extra-curriculum activites. The school is a great place and I would recommend St. Ailbe school to parents.

My child goes to st.Ailbe school. . The dont give out homework. They charge a arm and leg for tution. The dont go on any kind of trips. The school has really went down since they got a new principle in 2004. . But it has gone downhill. Please if you are thinking about sending your child here don't. it just a shame that you have to pay all this money for nothing. Its like throwing money in the air. My child will not return .
