Students are taught compassion and empathy at a early age thru involvement in food drives and missions. Older students required to complete service hours as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
As a Catholic school St. Barbara strives to instill these values in it's students thru community service, involvement in the Parish and attendance of Mass. The children are expected to be respectful, honest and dignified. They are held to a high standard and that helps them rise!
My children have been at St. Barbara for 11 years. My daughter just graduated 8th grade last year. Because of the education and preparation she received at St. Barbara she was able to smoothly make the transition to high school. My son is getting the same excellant education in a strong Catholic community that is also helping to teach him to be a good man. The teachers are caring, smart and supportive. I love the smaller class size. I encourage all my friends with children to come here..my family travels 15 miles a day to attend St. Barbara and it is worth it!
This school is a great place. Small classrooms and more teacher student time. Teachers are nice and when they know the student needs help they immediatly give them the help they need. There is nothing wrong with having a small classroom.
Choosing the right school is a daunting task for any parent, but the reward of knowing you made the right choice makes it all worth it. St. Barbara is the Right Choice! Anyone looking for a great enviornment for their child to learn, flourish, and build life long skills, should choose St. Barbara.
