I doubt the good reviews on this school are real. The so called "family" vibe they are thring to get at is not working. I was bullied when I was there. They did nothing about it absolutly nothing. I'm glad I got out of that school when I did!

Truly an excellent school. Children learn to be good students and caring individuals. I have 2 children attending this school. It has exceeded my expectations at every level.

I am a graduate of the class of 82-back then it was horriable. The motivated kids taught themselves and everyone else just hug out and then went hiome. If i lived near the school you could not PAY ME ENOUGH TO SEND MY CHILD TO SC!!! I am a techer now and as long as I teach and interact with my students THE OPPOSITE of the way SC was back in the 70's and 80"s I know i an a great teacher!! So the bottom line is it could have not have gotten worse over the years because that would be

I had three children attend St Cajetan. They received a great education with their friends and neighbors. There are still places in chicago where you can walk to school with your friends!

Utter disaster of a school. I sent my child here for an education ... he's pretty smart, but slightly awkward in social settings. Cajetan's did nothing to prevent bullying, and when I addressed this to teachers and the principal, they told me that it's just kids being kids, and not to worry about it. EXCUSE ME?!? I want my child to be in a happy and respectful learning environment, not one where he hates going to school. Glad I got him out of there!

My child is in kindergarten here and I am not happy at all with the program, the teacher, or the so called 'sense of family' that the other reviewers have talked about in regards to other parents. After looking at my child's work tthat is sent home it is obvious that the teacher or aid are not circulating throughout the room while the children are working on assigned tasks. The other parent are very cliquish and make no effort to make families that are new to the school feel welcome. I feel that this type of attitude defeats one of the purposes of sending a child to a Catholic school.

I have 4 children at St. Cajetan and we are all very happy here. This isnt just a school but a family. The academics are strong especially in the upper grades. The extra curricular activities offered range from music to crafts to athletics. I am a strong believer in the Catholic school systems and think this one is top notch. I just cant say enough on how much I love this school, parish and the community. I am proud to be a parent of a student from St. Cajetan.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
