I was a student at eagles wings urban academy. I can honestly say that they are for the students. Teachers are there for your every need. I created bonds at that school and friends that were really a motivational in my spiritual walk and in my studies. I can honestly say that my experience there at eagles wings changed me from the inside. I still feel I have a part of me there and that I will always have a family there.
I am in 8th grade & I currently go to Eagles Wings' Urban Academy. The students really need revival at the moment & the teachers are praying for it very earnestly. I want to ask you to join in these prayers for revival & finances. I am curently starting a prayer group for junior high & High School. Pray for that also. I love this school dearly & plan to stay there until graduation! Keep us in your prayers.
I am a former teacher at Eagles Wings and would love to go back there! The staff is both professional and caring. The administrators are expertise in their leadership skills and spiritual in counseling. You get not only an excellent education but Christian growth and discipleship!
Excellent academic program - Christ Centered - Loving Teachers - Modest Price Many hands on programs.
We just recently moved here and to be able to put my 4 homeschooled children into a Christian education has been an answered prayer. The school uses the same curriculum we used as homeschoolers so the children have adjusted quite well to the school setting. Their teachers and classmates have enveloped them as one of their own and love them already! I am very impressed with the teachers and students academically and socially! Parent involvement is required and being from a home-schooled environment I needed to be involved. The lack of organized sports is made up for in our community. I haven't been here long enough to comment on the music and art activities except to say I have seen a few of the students art projects and am very impressed and I have heard some students sing and play instruments and am in awe.
My 4 children attended and graduated since the school started in 1981. All went to the universities of their choice, on scholarships, and graduated with high to highest honors. I attribute their character, high values, and integrity largely to the dedicated teachers who always went the extra miles and put love and honor of God first and foremost. Being in a school like this allowed them all to have friends who strengthened them in the things that count most, rather than pulling them down. Our country would be a different place if all schools could train children the way my children were trained at Eagles' Wings.
What can I say about this school, my son has been going here for 3 years, I think its academic program is outstanding. Is very structured and down to the basics, but over I think 85% go on to college, Cursive in k. If you are christian, consider this school. It is humble in its physical and extracurricular activities. But the word of God is taught and there is much love and kindness to abound. The pricipals and staff are very dedicated. I am thankful, I found this school. Parental involvement is high and expected as part of enrollment.
