San Miguel is more than a middle school to me. I would not be where I am today if San Miguel would not have pushed me and supported me. They not only helped me through middle school but they have also helped me through my years of high school. San Miguel is a family. San Miguel cares. San Miguel is the best!

San Miguel has been a part of my family for the most part. I have two aunts that work there. I believe it's more than a middle school, it's something beyond that. It's been 4 years since I graduated from there and I still go back. They've helped my family with so much. San Miguel is more than words can explain.

San Miguel has always been there to help me all along. I am an alumni from there and I now attend Lewis Univerity, if it wasn't for San Miguel I would not be here. They taught me from education to caring about one another. All the teachers and staff have touched my heart and I still like to visit whenever I am able to. I love San Miguel!

The mission of San Miguel is the core of how we as people need to respond to the broken inequity of our education system. YAY San Miguel!

San Miguel is a wonderful program, students enter in sixth grade and continue to be part of the San Miguel family until they graduate from high school seven years later. We provide not only a wonderful education aimed at 'catching up' the students most in need of special help, but also a tutoring program for our graduates still in high school which itself includes many wonderful and fun opportunities.

I love San Miguel because I love the students, staff and faculty! Everyone tries to make it a supportive environment for students who have not always had an easy time in life, and I love shaking the hands of every student every morning that they come up those stairs into our classrooms.

Community ratings and reviews do not represent the views of GreatSchools nor does GreatSchools check their accuracy or verify the reviewers' identities. Use your discretion when evaluating these reviews.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
