This is by far the worse school I have ever been in. The children fight, curse, listen to music, and talk on they're cell phones all day. I can't believe this school is called college prep high school. There is nothing college about this school. There is nothing high school about this place. I haven't seen one student doing any productive work. The students who try are being disrupted by the other students. The teachers don't discipline the children, the children run the school. The principal receives a paycheck for nothing.

I am a parent of a student at John Hope. The school system has failed this school. The school's curriculum is okay, however, the distractions within the school as far as discipline and security tend to be distracting, thus not allowing children to concentrate and focus on classes. Once the discipline is controlled within the school and the focus is once again placed on the curriculum as opposed to security and safety, John Hope will be, once again, one of the shining stars of the CPS. The principle and staff is great, but only can do so much. I encourage parents to help restore the desire to learn at Hope by doing our part.
