this school is bad. there is no diversity,not challenging enough,andthe kids will rather be popular than learn

Wonderful school...wonderful staff...I am a parent of an eighth grader and a sixth grader. I can say unequivocally this school is just what my daughters needed. My daughters have had some of the best teachers, one was a golden apple scholar, others were Harvard graduates. It's a little known gem in the community. The principal is great as well, she takes time out of her personal schedule to spend with her students. She is extremely dedicated. She knows all of her students and their parents by name! Mrs. Watkins is also sensitive the to needs of families. You are not only a number at this school. It's amazing. My sixth grader is learning to speak and to read Chinese. The staff at this school is highly qualified and enthusiastic. Something to note, the class sizes are small, no more than 20 students in a classroom. It's a wonderful school. What a fantastic opportunity in Pershing West. It is progressive, innovative, has the best teachers in the city and it is an all around great place to learn. There are improvements needed but they work with the parents to make the improvements. I highly recommend the school.

Pershing West is the best middle school around its area and what makes it special is that its a magnet school. It's above average and its a very great school with a lot of intelligent students. Yes, there are ways on how the school could improve but the school is almost there and I would recommend you take your child there to attend school. I am a formal student at Pershing and its a very great school.
