Well, I haven't had much contact with the principal but I do agree that it's a bad school. They don't care about whether the students learn or not. Their only concern is hopes to meet deadlines so they rush through materials. Also, my daughter has told me on several occasions that she has seen dead roaches in the caferteria, and during hot days she says there is no air so you can only image how hot these kids are. We relocated here from Wisconsin so we didn't know much about Chicago schools but I know that we're headed back to Wisconsin.

This is one of the worst Chicago schools out there. They need to replace the principal. He is no leader. My child was mistakenly placed in a Spanish-speaking classroom because of his last name although he spoke no Spanish. Even though I spoke personally with the principal about it; he refused to (said that he couldn't) transfer my son to an English-speaking classroom. After 2 1/2 months of trying to do something about it and a loss of education for my child, I was forced to transfer him to a private school -- a measure that affected my finances drastically, yet worth every penny for my child's education. This is what you experience with Chicago Public Schools. City parents -- beware.

It's true! The principal and school just don't care about the students. My own son was removed from Budlong because he was still learning cat and dog in the fourth grade. No one cared about the students safety or well being. I know of children that have gotten into fights on school ground, the principal (and the school in general) just didn't care and did nothing to resolve any matters.

The principal does not know whats going on half the time. They dont care about the students work it seems they care only about the smarter students and drop the ones that need help and dont bother calling the parents.
