My child have attend Plato school in grade K and she is not learning anything ..I'm paying for extra tutors for after school. This school is not one ..I'm transferring mine ASAP ..I have Plato 4 years and for to tell me my child is behind is Plato fought not mines because I do honework with my kid ..I pay for after school tutoring with my kid..then they give the homework and don't explain it.. They change teacher by the weather !! It's terrible when child come home tell that her teacher stay on her cell phone ..my child learns about the teacher family all day and not her school work ..the teacher at Plato always call in or they come to work with the thier own kids!! I have complain and I don't see any change..I have join Plato parent meeting too see what learning programs Plato have and what can I do to help..I hate Plato !!! They new teachers fast because them kids are not learning

plato has a new school building it is located on 116 n. laclaire this building is ONLY for 5th-8th grade only my child goes here this new building is so big and great. but 1st-4th is in the 5545 w.harrison building so bring your child here in complete uniform goodbye

Plato needs to really get it togather with the parking and the staff. When I go to pick my child up there is no parking parents are double parked on both sides of the street making it impossible for traffic to get through.The children are not all dismissed on time with the weather being cold it's not fair for the parents to have to wait in the cold. My child has had 3 teachers and we are only in the 2nd marking period to make matters worse the grades don't match they keep changing.The staff focus more on discipline then teaching.

I am extremely pleased with Plato. In fact, I have told family and friends about this school. My child has had the blessing and priveledge to have two excellent teachers (3'rd and 4'th grade). On August 23rd will start her third year. My child has gone from C and D's at her previous school to all A's at Plato. This school offers free tutoring, Character Education, one on one help, Foreign Language (K-3 Spanish and 4-7 Mandarin). Very Educational field trips, family night and literacy night. This school also focuses on Writing skills, Mathematics, and Reading. I LOVE PLATO and my child does too!!

Plat o is a fairly new school to our community and I was very excited to learn of it's arrival. Having been apart of the Plato family for two years now. I feel the school has fallen short of the picture painted to us parents that attended the informationals and open houses which came before the openning. Don't get me wrong Plato is a fairly decent school if that's what you are seeking. I really would like to have better things to say about this school perhaps my expectations were too high! I am currently seeking another school which is so sad. I love the idea that we once took for granted, that your children can attend the schools within walking distance from their homes and learn and play with the friends they see everyday in the neighborhood and parents can know their children are receiving quality education.
