what i liked about subbing at this school was the early times.the students in one wing of the building were very nice while the other wing were horrible. overall this school was better than most.
From the day my 10-year-old son enrolled at de Diego, our family was warmly welcomed by the administrative staff, who introduced us to my son's 5th grade teacher, guidance counselor and an assistant principal who really showed care for us as a family. In the office, an 8th grade teacher spontaneously welcomed my son to de Diego and asked him about his favorite subject, which is history. We were also greeted by a friendly, gifted second-grader we met by chance in the hallway. My son's 4-year-old brother longs for the day he can attend de Diego. This is a heartwarming educational experience for a new family in Chicago.

De Diego is a very personable school, staff including principal get to know our students and parents and actually remember who we are. They also keep us involved and participating with the school by having events for the parents to do with students.

I love the fact that the kids are challenged, but not excessively. They really like the school. Also, the staff genuinely seem to like their jobs as well as their students.

Having three children in the educational system requires great care on my behalf to ensure that I choose a school representative of the academic needs of my children. I need a school that would challenge my children in all subject areas while providing a safe and nurturing environment in which they can learn. I truly believe Jose de Diego has provided that!

Jose De Diego is a wonderful school. Kids have opportunities to get involved in many programs like band, chorus, sports. This is a very big and clean school with a full auditorium and full swimming pool. The teachers here are very involved with the kids and care about the kids a lot. They hold family nights at the school which kids enjoy.

Jose De diego has the best teachers, my experience with Diego school are great. The teachers are carring and good with student who need help. They go above and beyong with the students. I work till 5pm and my kids have no where to go afterschool, therefore diego has an afterschool program that kids can stay till parents pick them up, it is great for us parents who work!. I love Jose de Diego it is a great school.

My children have attended Diego school for two years now, and since their transfer to Diego their grades have changed drastically. The teachers at Diego keep close communication with parents and I have also noticed that they all take their jobs as teachers personally and these are the kind of teachers we need for our kids.
