We have truly been blessed by finding Lord & Savior for our kids. The teachers are awesome from Pre-School through 8th grade - they all truly care about and love their students. I was apprehensive of the small size and the multi-grade class rooms, but the system works seamlessly and is fantastic. While public schools are cutting art and music, L&S has both of these and has also added Spanish! I love that my children and I have made lifelong friendships with like minded Christian families. GREAT GREAT SCHOOL!

I am a graduate of Lord and Savior and now have my child in the preschool. I am proud to continue the strong educational foundation and Christ-centered approach to learning in my own family.

We started our oldest in the Preschool at 3 years old and he will be entering Kindergarten this fall. I have another child in the preschool, and another child set to start in the fall. The school is amazing. The small class sizes are so beneficial to the children. I can honestly say that we moved to Crystal Lake to continue the education with this school for our three children, and I am so happy with our choice. The Christian foundation is helping to mold the kids into wonderful people, and we feel very blessed to be part of the Lord and Savior family.

We have been so blessed to find Lord & Savior to educate our children. The education they are receiving surpasses the education they were receiving in public school. The school has a wonderful Christian atmosphere and the low student to teacher ratio is amazing! The school also provides experiences in various sports! Aside from an awesome education...another wonderful aspect of L&S is the friendships that form with the students and also the friendships of the parents! We will be forever grateful for the education and opportunities that L&S are providing our family!

My children have been going to L & S since they were in preschool. They are both are above average students and are excelling at all levels. The Christian Education teaches my children right from wrong andd backs up our family values in the way the Lords wants us to. The one on one teaching ensures that my children understand and know what they are learning and not 'just getting by'. The families and teachers are welcoming and reach out to us. We are welcomed to help out in anyways possible! We love Lord and Savior!

I currently have two children attending this school and had one graduate who is now in college. The children I believe are receiving a great education beyond the three 'R's'. I hold the values taught have a much higher place than any academics. Of course there is a tuition. I believe price is what you pay and value is what you get. The value to me is well worth the price.

I moved my oldest daughter here after six years in the public schools resulted with her being functionally illiterate. Small class sizes and involved teachers have really helped turn things around for her. My younger children now attend Lord and Savior also.

I started my daughter here 2/3 of her way through 5th grade when the public school had failed her tremendously and testing showed her at a 2nd grade level. My son started kindergarten here after the public run preschool wouldn't work with him because he was 'autistic'-he is now in first grade with no issues other than any other 6 year old boy. My 4 year old daughter is in the preschool and is loving it.

The education that my children are receiving at Lord and Savior is amazing. The values they are learning far surpass my expectations. I love that my child is being taught to love and respect each other while getting a great educatioin. We live in Mchenry and drive our children into Crystal Lake so they can attend Lord and Savior.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
