Amazing, 30 + years and Cuba still has not changed one bit. They still think it is more important to have the right clothes, name , money and the popularity than it is to get a GOOD education. Apparently Cuba School District DID NOT get the memo of NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND. I attended this school 30 years ago and just learned trying to enroll my grandson in this district that the principal does not follow thru with what he says he will do. He does however, dress very well. I hope that is enough to get the Cuba students in College.

This school DOES NOT prepare students for the future. The academics do not meet standards compared to other schools. I don't know if it's lack of funding that has made this what I would consider a "crisis" situation or just too many years of things being done t he same way. The Board has some new members, but so far, nothing has changed. Hiring new leadership has proven to be a negative change as well. This school has become a place where no student wants to be. The kids have nothing there. They do not learn what they should. I think our history of scores show that. What is ever done about it? As a parent, you cannot get help. Everything is made about as difficult as it can be. Nobody is willing to listen or make positive changes. Nobody cares.

I am a student here and I love this school, but I think the Principal needs to chill out. He is not layed back and he needs to be. The reason for this is because he gives way too many detentions, suspensions, etc. This school is great for slackers, but that's only my opinion. I am a really good student, and have straight A's, but this school doesn't try it's hardest. I know, We used to have a real big problem with the 'popular/jock/dance force' being treated special, but it has sort of simmered down since last year. I understand that all schools are like that, but I much happier going to school here than I would be going to Canton school.

Principal has been a good addition but the curriculum still needs a lot of work. The students do not get what they need in order to make the college transition flow more smoothly. One student had never touched a microscope before going to college! There is no workable website, although it's been promised for years with a lot of excuses why it's not there. Some of the classes do not have adequate textbooks and materials. LOTS of room for improvement.

I love going to school here and for the record our principal does attend our music productions. He is also very strict. I love attending school here and like the block schedule.

Cuba Middle-Senior High School was a great place for me to pursue my academic career. As a student, I came from a much larger high school before arriving in Cuba. To the people saying that only the jocks and 'pretty' girls get all the attention. Really? That's what high school has always been; Full of shallow, manipulative people. But what matters is that there are educators present who treat you with dignity and respect. Mr. Moyes, Mrs. Smysor, Mrs. Semande, Mrs. Boucek, all of these educators gave me a renewed hope in academia and, quite frankly, turned me into a productive member of society. I would gladly send my daughter to this school, and never bat an eyelash about the decision.

Cuba offers a demanding, diverse curriculum with great extracurricular activities. He feels it is a safe, learning environment where all children are treated fairly

Cuba middle/ high school has a discipline problem. Popular kids are treated 'Special' and get more attention.Principal has never shown up to a music department or drama event, but is very sport minded.Teachers are having trouble controlling class rooms. This school has a block A,B, days which gives students time to goof-off more.

I think that we need to get a new principal. At lease our last principal Mrs. Coleman went to our chorus and drama plays! All this principal cares about is sports, sports, sports! No time for Music or Drama.
