DLS was a wonderful place for our children when we moved to Danville for a year and a half. We were sad to leave. The teachers are the best. The environment is so family oriented. I was scared to take my kids to the public schools but found DLS very open and warm. GO DLS!

My daughter is heading into her second year at DLS. I chose to send her to pre-school for many reasons and I am so happy I chose DLS for her learning experience. Her teachers are wonderful and the over theme of the school is family, I feel my daughter's education, even at the pre-school level, is in good hands.

This is a small school but unsurpassed in dedication and quality teachers and education. Our children have been in several public schools in DS118 so we are very familiar with DS118 policy, curriculum and staff. Our son went from 27 students to 8; Our daughter from 29 to 6 students (last of the very small classes). DLS is education the way it should be; multiple subjets matters applied to various projects, critical thinking, closer observation, and better communication between teachers and parents. Teacher dedication is unsurpassed. I highly recommend anyone to consider enrolling their children into DLS for a quality education.

My daughter has graduated and my son is still enrolled at DLS, the greatest school in Vermilion Co. Teachers are the most caring and the parents care what happens in the school.

My son has been attending since preschool. He is now the third generation in our family to attended DLS. The parents are friendly, and the staff is great. These children are well adjusted and I believe they will all be prepared for life. Thank You DLS

I loved the school and teachers when I went there as a student. I chose to send my daughter to DLS and I love it as a parent and my daughter loves it as well. She just started first grade this year and loves it as much as she did last year. :)

My son is in the 3rd grade this year, and so far I have no complaints. The parents are freindly, and the staff is great.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
