I, being a graduate of SDMS, am very sad that I am not able to give this school a better rating. I think that the academics program could be a lot better. Teachers need to step up and control their students. Administration should properly discipline students, as I remember there being a fight or an altercation nearly every day. When the school has to call the authorities because they can't control their kids, something is terribly wrong there. And yes, there is a mutual decision, the current principal needs to be replaced. There is certainly a reason that all this negativity is present, and it starts at the top. But, as hard as it can sometimes be, if you look past that, the academics are surprisingly decent. My most fond memory of SDMS is my band teacher, and I credit him with my career choice in music.

This school needs an other principal. He doesn't care about the students or their parents. Will not answer any questions. is rude and let you wait. My son was a grad A student before he went to this school. He loved to go to school, not anymore. I wish I informed myself better and never send him to this school.

I go to this school every day, and surpass every class. However, the racist principle and several poor teachers make it extremely stressful and hard to accomplish anything in this so called 'school'. It is DEFINETELY not a place you would want to go to under any circumstances.

my child went to this school for the last two years. i have enjoyed the time she was there, however there are some students that made it hard for her to learn. i wish the kids that lived on the other side of town had a school to go to over there. unfortunaly, the good kids are pulled down by those who dont want to learn. the teachers have a hard job but they do try their best and im happy they dont give up on the ones who want to learn.

This is a very out of control school. Students are allowed to get away with anything. The administration does not support the teachers. It is very had to educate students who have no self control. This school has failed to meet AYP on many occasions! I would not send my child here!!!
